THE ONLINE DESIGN SERVICE

A different approach to interior design

Our online approach gives you the same personal touch as a more conventional in-home design service but with the added benefits of convenience and a lower price tag. Instead of you having to arrange to be at home at a specific time, we can meet via Facetime or Skype whenever it suits you. All you have to provide are photos, a video and measurements of the rooms you want us to design. (Don't worry, our 'how to guides' below will help you get these right!)

Any style, any budget

Every client and project is unique so I make sure every design we create is unique too. We start from scratch and work with your ideas as well as mine to express your individual style. We make sure we design a scheme that's completely tailored to you. Whatever your budget we suggest products from a range of different suppliers. Our competitively priced design only service means you've got more to spend on your lovely new things.

Speedy service with a personal touch

In a hurry? No problem! We offer a quick turnaround, from consultation to shopping list in just a couple of weeks! And you'll receive the same personal service as the in-home service.

A clickable shopping list for your room

After we've presented my ideas we will send you a personal shopping list of my suggestions which includes direct links to websites so it's easy for you to buy the things you want. With the ordering in your hands, it means there's no pressure to buy anything and you can go ahead when you're ready.

How does it work?

Step 1 - Consultation

30 minute ONLINE video chat

via Facetime or Skype to find out what you're looking for. We'll ask you to send us photos, videos and measurements of the rooms you'd like us to design.

Step 2 - The Design

Concept creation

If you'd like to go ahead, we'll take payment from you then send you a list of your requirements based on our consultation. Once you give us the thumb's up, we'll get to work choosing your own personal colour scheme, designing your ideal room layout, researching and hand-picking key items for your room. We make suggestions for furniture, window dressings, wall coverings, flooring, lighting, accessories etc.

Step 3 - Presentation

30 minute online video chat presentation

via Facetime or Skype where we share all of our ideas with you and you'll see your room coming to life. After we've presented to you, we will send you a personal design pack (see below).

What's included?

Digital mood board

displaying all the key elements we've chosen for your room based on the ideas we discussed during the consultation.

BONUS FEATURE: Your mood board is interactive so when you click on an image you will go straight to that item on the relevant website.

Furniture layout

showing how we've designed your room in order to maximise space and make it functional, as well as beautiful of course!

3D visual

because let's face it, it's not easy to visualise how it's going to look when it's finished so we make that possible.

Shopping list

including everything we've suggested for your newly designed room with clickable links to websites for your easy ordering.

Then it's over to you

Time to order your items

It's time for us to pass the baton and leave you to order your lovely new things using your clickable shopping list!

Once everything's delivered, it's finally time to enjoy your new happy room!

HOW TO GUIDES

These guides will help you through the steps for taking the photos, video and measurements that we'll need from you so that we can get a really good feel for your room.

Step 1

Using a smartphone, tablet or digital camera, stand in each of the 4 corners of your room and point your camera at the opposite corner and take a photo. If you're not able to get right into the corner, just get as close as you can.

Step 3

Top tips:

  • Make sure you take your photos in daylight.

  • Landscape orientation works best as we can see more of your room.

  • If you're unsure of anything, please don't hesitate to contact us.

Step 1

Using a smartphone, tablet or digital camera, stand in the middle

of your room and aim your device at one corner of your room.

Step 2

Holding your camera at just below eye level, press the record button and slowly rotate your body on the spot while keeping your device at the same height.

Step 3

Stop the record button when you reach the corner you started at.

Top tips:

  • Make sure you take your video in daylight.

  • Landscape orientation works best for videos.

  • Slow and steady wins the race!

  • If you're unsure of anything, please don't hesitate to contact us.

Step 1

Using a black ballpoint pen, draw the shape of your room in bird's eye view on a piece of paper. Then add in any doors and windows. You can use a ruler or draw freehand.

Step 2

Add any other features the room has eg. fireplaces, alcoves, radiators, fitted furniture, etc. and label them.

Also if you can note down where the sockets are so we know where the power is for any lighting, TV, etc.

Step 3

Using a metal measuring tape, measure the following in metric (metres/centimetres) or imperial (feet/inches):

  • Width and length of your room

  • Width of your doors and windows

  • Width and depth of any other features eg. fireplaces, alcoves, radiators

  • Width and depth of any existing furniture

Top tips:

  • Don't worry, your drawing doesn't need to be to scale.

  • You can take your measurements in metric or imperial, whichever one you're used to.

  • It's a sketch so it doesn't need to be perfect! Just try and make your measurements as clear as possible so we can read them easily.

  • If you're unsure of anything, please don't hesitate to contact us.
